Suet is a term for beef fat, specifically the fat that accumulates around the cow’s kidney. Believe it or not, wild birds find this a tasty treat, and when mixed with other ingredients, suet can attract various birders to your suet feeder. While you can buy pre-made suet cakes, you can also make your own suet for your commercial or home-made bird feeder.
