One of the first things that a new ferret owner notices is the amount of time his ferret sleeps. Ferrets tend to sleep between 15-20 hours per day. As opposed to being nocturnal, ferrets are crepuscular, that is, they are primarily active in twilight, before dawn and after dusk.
