The symptoms of kennel cough can be compared to a common cold in humans. It is an upper respiratory disease which affects dogs and cats. They usually start showing symptoms after a few weeks of contracting the disease. Common places for dogs to get kennel cough are dog shows, kennels and shelters. Where there are large group of dogs together, it is a common ground for this disease to spread, as it is very contagious.
