The African Grey parrot is one of the friendliest and intelligent of the parrot species. Though it doesn’t have the brilliant colors of some of its relatives, it makes up for it in its friendly disposition and acute ability to mimic not only sound but speech. The African Grey can even wisely put together whole sentences. This parrot species can trace it’s ancestry of being a popular pet all the way back to the Egyptians.
